Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until soft and caramelized, about 5–7 minutes. Let cool.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten each piece of biscuit dough into a circle.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each dough circle and pinch edges to seal into a ball.
- Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll each ball in the sugar mixture.
- Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for glaze. Drizzle over warm apple pie bombs.
Notes
Seal well to prevent filling leakage. Use fresh apples for the best flavor. Customize with nuts, caramel drizzle, or different fruit fillings. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Reheat in oven or air fryer for best texture.
