- 2 large bananas (sliced)

- ½ cup chocolate syrup

- Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly among prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely before assembling.
- Place first cake layer on a serving plate and spread a thin layer of whipped cream or frosting.
- Top with sliced bananas and diced pineapple.
- Repeat with the second cake layer, adding sliced strawberries.
- Add final cake layer and cover entire cake with whipped cream or frosting.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over top and sides.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts (if using) and top with maraschino cherries.
- Chill before serving for best results.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for best sweetness. Chill before slicing for easier serving. Customize toppings with coconut, sprinkles, or crushed cookies.
