- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 oz fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti
- Salt, for boiling water
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken strips with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, stirring until smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Return chicken to the skillet and let it warm through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and flavor. Adjust spice levels by adding more red pepper flakes or cayenne.
