French Dip Biscuits

Description

Flaky biscuits filled with tender roast beef, gooey melted provolone, and creamy horseradish, baked to golden perfection and served with hot au jus for dipping.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 2 tablespoons creamy horseradish sauce
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
  • 1 ½ cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate biscuits into two layers, creating 16 thinner rounds.
  3. Spread horseradish sauce on each biscuit round.
  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese on half of the biscuits.
  5. Add roast beef on top of the cheese.
  6. Cover with remaining biscuit layers and pinch edges to seal.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush with melted butter immediately after baking.
  9. Prepare au jus sauce according to package instructions.
  10. Serve biscuits warm with hot au jus for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, add caramelized onions or switch up the cheese with Swiss or cheddar.
