Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce – A Family Favorite

Description

Crispy Parmesan Crusted Chicken paired with a rich, velvety creamy garlic sauce. A quick and delicious dish perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 4 small-medium chicken breasts (or 2 large, halved)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup light cream or heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. If using large breasts, slice them in half for even cooking.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to low-medium and add minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of light or heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning (or oregano) and ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Stir in 1 cup of chopped spinach (if using) and simmer for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  9. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
  10. Let simmer for 1 minute before turning off the heat.
  11. Serve hot over pasta, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with extra parmesan and fresh parsley.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, coat the chicken with a mix of parmesan and panko breadcrumbs. Use heavy cream for a richer sauce or light cream for a lighter version. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 375°F or in a skillet for best results.
