Description

Light and airy choux pastry filled with sweet whipped cream and fresh strawberries. A delightful dessert perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until a dough forms.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
  5. Pipe or spoon small rounds of dough onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  9. Slice fresh strawberries and set aside.
  10. Cut or poke a hole in the cooled puffs and fill with whipped cream.
  11. Add sliced strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Ensure butter is fully melted before adding flour. Avoid opening the oven while baking for best puff results.
